Who We Are

JobTarget helps connect job seekers with employers. Our goal is to help you find the job you love or the employee you need. We do this through our various technologies and websites. The domains we use, and that this agreement shall apply, includes JobTarget.com, Click2Apply.net, RecruitSite.com, and RecruitSites.com. We also operate a subsidiary called Talleco.com, Inc. based in the Philippines. These terms also apply to that company as well.

User Types

JobTarget works with many different types of users, some looking for jobs, some looking to hire employees, and others. For your convenience, we have split this Privacy Policy into different sections to address each audience/role separately. Please review the section below specific to you and your use of our systems/services:

Job Seekers - Individuals using JobTarget Websites and/or Online Services to look for work opportunities and/or use job search / career management tools (“Job Seeker”).

Employers / Recruiters - Organizations, individuals that work for those organizations, or any user using JobTarget Websites and/or Online Services to look for individuals to hire to do work and/or use JobTarget Recruitment Tools and/or JobTarget Recruitment Platform (“Employer”).

All Other Users - Organizations, individuals that work for those organizations, or any user using JobTarget Websites and/or Online Services (“All Other Users”).

Children (anyone under 16 years old) - Terms of Use forbid the use of JobTarget’s services by anyone under the age of 16 years old.

General Terms for All Users


Understanding and Accepting Security Risks

Although we make every reasonable effort to protect information in our systems, JobTarget cannot and does not guarantee the security, confidentiality, or privacy of any information or communication. JobTarget is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other websites, third parties with whom we work to provide services, or those who access your information on our site or applications. If you disagree with the way we collect, process, use, store, and display personal and non-personal information, please do not use our websites, services, or interact with webpages/systems with our technology.

EU-U.S. Privacy Shield

JobTarget complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States.

JobTarget has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles of Notice, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Choice, Security, Access, Recourse, Enforcement and Liability, and Accountability for Onward Transfer. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.

Cookies/ Web Beacons

JobTarget uses cookies for your convenience and security. Cookies are text files stored on your computer. The cookies remember information that you've already typed in our web site fields, among other things, so you don't have to enter them again. They are used to make your experience on web sites more personal and less cumbersome. We do link information stored in cookies to personally identifiable information you submit or that we receive from third parties.

We may also apply the use of web beacons in our email communications, job listings, websites, applications, and our technology. A web beacon is a one pixel by one pixel image embedded within a web page for page view tracking purposes. Although this list is not exhaustive, your actions may be tracked by a web beacon when you (a) view a job on a job board or website; (b) click on an apply link in an online job posting; (c) visit an employer's applicant tracking system (ATS) online; (d) create a job seeker account or request email job alerts; or (e) submit a resume or application to an employer online; (e) view an email or message we send you.

Server Logging

Like most other websites, we also make use of log files which include users IP address, referring URL and pages viewed within a session.

Third Party Cookie & Web Beacons

Third parties who advertise on our website may employ the use of cookies and web beacons to track the effectiveness of their advertisements. We have no access to these third-party cookies.

We may also employ the services of third parties in tracking aggregated statistical data about our website. This information is used for statistical purposes and these third parties may also employ the use of cookies and web beacons in providing this service to us.

Targeted Advertising

We may partner with a third-party ad network to either display advertising on our web site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our ad network partner uses cookies and web beacons to collect information about your activities on this and other websites to provide you targeted advertising based upon your interests.

Privacy-Related Technology


Security Technology

JobTarget employs industry accepted standards in protecting information stored in our systems. JobTarget uses at least 128 bit SSL encryption to manage our payment processing. JobTarget is compliant with the PCI validation requirement.

JobTarget will take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized or inappropriate use by third parties. JobTarget has no control over these third parties, so we cannot be responsible for their use of information. JobTarget cannot guarantee that your information will always remain private. Our users assume all responsibility and risk for their use of our website and/or services or their use of any systems that may contain our technology or use our technology.

Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

In certain circumstances we may elect not to respond to a browser's Do Not Track signal.

Data Storage

We store user data, including personal data, in the United States. Our employees and contractors access personal information through virtual desktop or web interfaces in the United States and the Philippines.

If your personal information is subject to European Union (EU) or Swiss law, it may be transferred outside of the EU or Switzerland based on one or more of the following legal mechanisms:

  • EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework for entities located in the United States
  • We have signed contractual clauses with our client that are deemed by the relevant authority to ensure adequate protection of personal information
  • You have provided your consent for us to transfer data outside of the EU or Switzerland to allow us to carry out services for you on behalf of a client

Children's Information

JobTarget’s Terms of Use prohibit the use of our services by anyone under the age of 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from users under the age of 16 years old. If you believe we have mistakenly collected personal data of a minor, please notify us through at privacy@jobtarget.com.


Retention

In most cases, the information you add to your account or provide as part of using a product or service remains until you delete the account. If you provide us with an email address to hear more about us, our products and services, we will keep it for 3 years from the date of collection. If you unsubscribe we will add you to our suppression list.


Lawful basis

EU data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for the personal collection and use, and there are several lawful bases available. These lawful bases mainly include: when you provide us consent, when we have contractual obligation to collect or process your personal data, and when we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data.


Right to access and control your personal data

Regardless of whether you are an account holder or a visitor, you may exercise the following data protection rights: the right of deletion, the right to amend or rectify your personal data, the right to object to the use of your personal data, the right to restrict processing of your data, the right of access, and the right of portability, where feasible.

Information you provide to us

You may elect to register on one of our websites for the purpose of using our website, searching for a job, applying for a job opening, or for other reasons. During that process, or subsequent or alternative processes you may use, you may elect to provide JobTarget with your name, contact information, resume, and/or other forms of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Additionally, you may opt to provide other information to JobTarget. This information may be entered in directly by you, or provided on your behalf by a third party (such as a Job Site). JobTarget builds technology that is designed to provide analytical data and statistics to employers that post recruitment advertisements through JobTarget's distribution channels. JobTarget acts as an agent of the employer by collecting user personal and non-personal information during the job application process. That means you may interact indirectly with JobTarget technology when you apply for a job online, for example.

JobTarget may collect, retain, use and pass along data and statistics to our customers and partners.

Additionally, JobTarget develops technology to improve the job search and application processes. Our technology is often imbedded in third party systems, including Applicant Tracking Systems, job boards, job search sites, and other technologies that facilitate job search and recruitment.

If you are NOT an existing JobTarget user, JobTarget may choose to collect data and save it in a user profile which does not have a specific user identity, although the identity of the user may become known to JobTarget at a future date. If you have interacted with and/or registered with JobTarget in the past, we may collect further information through these systems, as you use these third-party services. This information may include:

How JobTarget Uses Information We Collect


Connecting You with Employers & Job Opportunities

JobTarget collects personal and non-personal information to perform the service of matching you with potential employers and job opportunities. Our goal is to provide a beneficial and positive experience for all parties using our services. By utilizing our services, you have agreed to allow us to use your information, subject to applicable law and consents, in the following ways:

  • to create a profile for you based on information you have provided to us and information we have developed or collected from third parties
  • to provide information about you to employers, recruiters, or others looking to hire
  • to contact you regarding opportunities, changes to your profile, service updates, products and services you may be interested in, surveys, sweepstakes and various other communications regarding our products and services.
  • to assess qualifications and suitability for specific opportunities
  • to submit your information to an employer via their ATS system as part of your job application
  • to provide anonymous information about job seekers and their application habits to employers or other third parties
  • to deliver relevant job opportunities to you
  • to contact you regarding the status of your application or related to your job application
  • to allow you to apply for a job opening at a later time
  • to inform employers which jobs you viewed and where you viewed them
  • to allow you to login to your account to manage your information and job search
  • to allow our employers, and other third parties, to share relevant advertisements with you

Providing Aggregated Data to Employers and Third Parties

JobTarget uses personal and non-personal data to conduct various measures of job posting effectiveness, accuracy, posting locations, business intelligence regarding the placement of job advertisements, the content of job advertisements, and the conversion of users from viewing a job advertisement to submitting a completed job application for an open position, job seeking trends, etc.. This information may be analyzed and used to generate statistics and to determine use patterns and effective recruitment and job search strategies. Our goal is to provide a beneficial and positive experience for all parties using our services by developing deep insight into the process of matching jobseekers with employers through the right job advertisements. In cases of onward transfer to third parties of data of EU individuals received pursuant to the EU-US Privacy Shield, JobTarget remains liable.


When and How We Disclose/Share Your information


JobTarget primarily generates its revenue from facilitating the flow of information between and among employers and job seekers. JobTarget may also provide personal information to other third parties for advertising related purposes. You will be able to control or restrict this from within your JobTarget account.

JobTarget may disclose your personal information to, and in cooperation with, law enforcement officials on receipt of a valid court order. Your personal information may be disclosed to other third parties when JobTarget is required to do so by law or in the good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights and property of JobTarget, act in urgent circumstances to protect the safety of users of services or the public, or protect against legal liability.

JobTarget may share relevant data in accordance with legal, regulator, tax, and/or accounting requirements.

You may control your cookie consents, communication preferences, and information from within your JobTarget account. We provide this access so that you may review, correct, amend, or request deletion of your data.

You can also ask us about:

  • why we have your personal information;

Please also note that some data that has already been shared with a third-party, such as a job application submitted to an employer, may not be deleted or amended.

When and How We Disclose/Share Your Information

Your personal information may be disclosed to other third parties when JobTarget is required to do so by law or in the good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights and property of JobTarget, act in urgent circumstances to protect the safety of users of services or the public, or protect against legal liability.

If you are an employer or agency who uses JobTarget's technology to post an advertisement to a third-party job listing site, your contact information may be shared with the operator of that third party.

Your information may be shared with your ATS provider.

JobTarget may share relevant data in accordance with legal, regulator, tax, and/or accounting requirements.


Payment Information


If you provide us your credit card information, it may be shared with our payment processing partner PayPal, Inc. JobTarget does not store your credit card information on its servers.


Control of Your Information


You may control your cookie consents, communication preferences, and information from within your JobTarget account. We provide this access so that you may review, correct, or amend your data. It may take JobTarget upwards of one month to complete any request submitted.

You can also ask us about:

  • why we have your personal information;

This request must be made to the user with Administrative access rights. The Administrator may log into JobTarget and remove your personal information. Please also note that some data that has already been shared with a third-party, such as job ads or your contact information, may not be deleted or amended.

Depending on which laws apply to your personal information, we may only be able to do some of these things for you. If you request one of these things and we refuse to do it, we will explain your legal rights, the reason for our refusal and any recourse you may have.

If JobTarget is unable to process your request within one month, we will tell you when we are able to provide access. We may be unable to grant you access, where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the privacy of the individual in the case in question or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated.

If you encounter a user that is in violation of this Privacy Policy, or if you believe a user is inappropriately using our services, please email us at privacy@jobtarget.com. We will do our best to respond to all inquiries within 30 days of receipt.

If you do not receive timely acknowledgement of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, you can also submit your complaint to Privacy Trust, an independent third party. Visit https://www.privacytrust.com/drs/jobtarget to file a complaint.

Finally, as a last resort and in limited situations, EU individuals may seek redress from the Privacy Shield Panel, a binding arbitration mechanism.

The Federal Trade Commission ('FTC') has jurisdiction over our compliance with the Privacy Shield.

We submit to being subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the FTC, the Department of Transportation, or any other U.S. authorized statutory body with regards to our self-certification and implementation of the Privacy Shield Principles, and acknowledge the right of the EU individual to invoke binding arbitration, at no cost to the individual, in filing a complaint disputing our adherence to these practices with the European Union Data Protection Authority.
